Liturgy of the Word for Children

St. Joseph Religious Formation Program

We strongly support the essential role of parents in bringing children into a life of faith. It is the parents' Christian example, their participation in the celebration of the Eucharist, and their commitment to the education of their children, in which the Truth of their Faith is taught.

Our mission is to educate each individual to develop an active life of faith, and to encourage parents and children to grow in faith together.

Liturgy of the Word for Children

LOOK FOR CHANGES IN THE FALL !!!

It's a fresh new experience for our young children. . . an age-appropriate, faith-building worship experience all on video. Families can help their younger children experience the Liturgy with videos from and by other parish families -- including pop-ins from Father Stan and Grace!

We will present the readings and reflection at a level your child may understand a little easier.

No registration is required. Beginning in October, the Liturgy of the Word for Children will be found on our website.

Sunday Morning Nursery

The Nursery is available during 10:00 Mass on Sunday mornings. It is for children 18 months to 4 years old – with a limit of 16 children per week. There is no fee to use our Nursery, but all of the children need to be registered.

The Nursery is staffed with 2-3 parent volunteers and approximately 2-3 student volunteers. All volunteers are required to have a background check and participate in a Protecting God’s Children Workshop.

The Sunday Morning Nursery is not available this summer due to the Covid-19 restrictions. Our hope is to start it up again in January 2021 – or as soon as we reach Phase 5-6 in Governor Whitmer’s reopening plan. Look for more information and registration dates in upcoming Bulletins and on the Parish Website.
