Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic voluntary organization dedicated to the sanctification of its members through serving the poor and disadvantaged. Here at St. Joseph Parish, St. Vincent de Paul has had an active presence since the mid 1960s. The group is made up of parishioners, young and old.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul raises money by sponsoring Coffee and Donuts and a basket collection on the 3rd Sunday of the month. There is also the Blue Envelope Winter Crisis Collection to help when the needs are greatest in the cold weather. St. Vincent de Paul works hand-in-hand with Active Faith to meet the needs of the South Lyon Community. They assist with utility shut-offs, evictions, medical bills and auto repairs.

Women of Mary
Following the example of our spiritual mother, Mary, Women of Mary (WoM) seeks to lead women of St. Joseph Catholic Church into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. WoM provides spiritual care and nourishment to all women, in order for members to use and develop their talents to point others to Jesus though their unique and divine gifts as women. We encourage women to join and participate in small groups which include a prayer blanket ministry, hospitality, social events, book club, and various Bible study opportunities. For more information, please contact WoM Pam Varilone 248-890-4161, or through our e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit our Facebook page “Women of Mary, St. Joseph Parish, South Lyon, MI”.
St. Joseph Parish Altar Society began around 1954. The Society's foundation is a common bond with one another and the entire parish family called Faith. From this came a dedicated group of women who are filled with HOPE for the future of our parish family. The Altar Society is an example of Christian LOVE in action. The ladies provide funeral luncheons, altar breads, wash altar robes, and oversee cleaning of the sanctuary and altar linens.
We also support St. Vincent de Paul, Religious Formation, and Active Faith. If interested, please consider attending monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. See parish bulletin for details.
Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus organization is open to men 18 years or older. The four principles of the order are charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. They stand together in faith, dedicated to uphold the principles they cherish while lending their support and strength to parish, home, and fellow Knights.
